Leave Your Ego At The Door.
We hope that everyone who walks through our door realizes that every person you meet is different, our parents, thoughts, and life experiences created who we are today.
Our goal for our students & community members is to help them become the best version of themselves, and to provide a community and atmosphere where everyone supports and cheers one another on.
But we do not believe in the "everyone gets a trophy" mentality as we believe this creates a false environment for our students and members, which is dangerous and unrealistic.
We encourage our students and members to be open to feedback, as we our always open as well.
Communication is Key! Coaches, Members, Staff, Parents, Students. Etc.
always tell our students, their parents, and community members this:
1. We will push you as hard as you want to be pushed, want an easier or harder progression or challenge. We will oblige.
2. Our Coaches will
NEVER ask you to perform a movement or skill we
KNOW you cannot mentally and/or physically do safely. This does not mean you will not leave your comfort zone or that you learn every move your first try.
3. We believe communication is key to creating and maintaining such an amazing community. Please let us know anything that you feel necessary, and please do so constructively and politely. We do the same thing for our students and community members.
If you want or need anything from your coaches or our staff please let us know, we are here for our students, their parents, and our community members. We pledge to always fulfill any reasonable request and are once again, always open to feedback. Thank you.
Our Founding Principles: The Original 4.
We have 7 Founding Principles that our facility, systems, coaches, and staff live by.
Oneness, Togetherness, What we do is for Everyone, Everyone is Welcome at Movement United.
To us It also means helping and supporting each other in adverse circumstances. Life in General. To us being united is the key to building strong relationships and a strong Community. A number of proverbs have been written to emphasize the importance of unity. Mankind can live in peace and harmony only when Unity prevails.
We All Show One Another Respect & Kindness.
Receiving respect from others is important because it helps us to feel safe and to express ourselves. Being respected by important people in our lives growing up teaches us how to be respectful toward others. Respect in our relationships builds feelings of trust, safety, and wellbeing. Some characterisitics of having respect are as follows:
Following the Golden Rule.
Using good manners, not bad language.
Practicing tolerance & self control, being nice.
Being considerate of the feelings of others.
Not threatening, hitting or hurting anyone.
Dealing peacefully with anger, insults and disagreements.
Being Of Strong Mind & Body.
One definition for Strength is this; the capacity of an object or substance to withstand great force or pressure. The other definition is being Physically Strong. We have learned that true Strength is gentle, and that kindness can be one of the ultimate Strengths. We also believe that Strength is telling yourself that you are good enough, brave enough, and strong enough to overcome that obstacle. Because you can. It's realizing that you are capable of whatever you set your mind to. Strength is about being a fighter, a warrior, and never giving up.
Self Control, Self Awareness, Self Belief.
One definition of discipline is as follows: To train or develop by instruction and exercise, especially in self-control. A Discipline teaches good habits, practices, and experiences that are designed to develop, grow, and strengthen certain qualities of spirit — to build the “muscles” of one's character and expand the breadth of one's inner life. They are sometimes structured activities which train the soul and increase Self-Belief.
The Feeling You Get When You Join Us: Community. Family. Home.
It didn't take us long to hear positive feedback from our students and their parents, or our community members. So many people speak to us about the feeling they get each time they visit us.
Fostering the feeling and community atmosphere is only possible when our: Coaches, Office Staff, Students, Parents, and Community Members contribute to it. It is our goal to bring together as many different athletes, disciplines, and people as possible through what we do at MU!

OPEN GYM RULES
Foam Pit Safety (Coming Soon)
DO NOT: Dive head first or belly flop into the foam pit! The best position to land in is feet first. If you cannot land feet first, try to land on your butt, back or side. Keep your neck and spine engaged. The best habit is to treat the foam pit as if it was hard ground. Remove shoes, socks, jewelry, and all other belongings from your pockets.
Trampoline Safety (Coming Soon)
One at a time! You must get permission from one of our coaches to jump on the trampoline, or to attempt double flips.
1. No shoes your shoes or socks on AirTrick.
Make sure your finger/toenails are trimmed.
Do not Jump down from height onto the AirTrick!
Do not run across the AirTrick with shoes or socks on.
ATTENTION ALL BEGINNER STUDENTS!
For your own safety, beginners may not train on top of or jump off of or down from any obstacles that are taller than their own reach. This includes all bars and platforms over six feet. Objects within your reach are always okay to hang from.
Be Aware Of Your Surroundings. Look before you leap!
Look before you leap! The gym can be a busy place sometimes. Be aware of others training around you. Ask a friend or coach to help you with blind spots, while you are working on movements that prevent you from having a clear view of other students.
NO PLAYING TAG!
Chasing people or running blindly through the gym is dangerous to you and other people training in the gym. It is a violation of the previous rule, and students who are not following this rule will be given 3 warnings during your open gym, students who are continually being asked not to play tag will eventually no longer be able to participate in our open gyms.
We will play Qm (Quadrupedal Movement) Tag or other games at the end of some classes & during camps, this is not the same as tag and is only allowed during classes or camps at our coach's discretion/per good behavior.
We will also Create & Schedule Adult Parkour Tag Events. These are for Adults only.
YOU MUST PAD ALL FALL ZONES. DO NOT SWING ON OR HANG FROM A BAR OR BALANCE ON A RAIL UNLESS A MAT IS UNDERNEATH YOU!
Use pads and/or mats underneath you at all times. Please respect our rules and equipment by using our mats, obstacles, airtrick and all other equipment appropriately.
EX: Do not drag mats across the gym find a friend or a coach if you need help or assistance moving mats or have any questions about equipment. Padding underneath bars is extremely important when swinging. Pad both sides of any bars you are swinging on!
Students not obeying the rules of our facility or not moving/using mats properly will eventually no longer be able to participate in our open gyms. We give all students and community members 3 warnings during ech open gym session.
STAY WITHIN YOUR COMFORT ZONE
Many of the people you see training here have been doing so for many years. Take it slow. Become familiar with your current mental & physical limits.
We ask that our members familiarize themselves with their surroundings, our equipment, obstacles and structures, our coaches, and of course fellow students and community members.
NO ROUGH HOUSING! HANDS TO YOURSELF!
Coaches may/will remove students for being disrespectful, violent, exhibiting negative behavior, poor sportsmanship, using profanity, etc.
Students who continue to have behavior issues should expect a meeting with their coach and their parents.
Movement United Reserves the right to prohibit students/community members from attending classes or open gym at our facility if they cannot follow our rules & guidelines.
